We often think of inheritance as something tangible. But what our mothers truly leave us is their hearts. Passed on through a lifetime of quietly laying down their own lives for the people they love most.
Whether we realize it or not, we carry them with us. Their quirks. Their wisdom. Their dreams, their gifts, their character — and most of all, their love. That love didn't begin with them, and it won't end with us. It's a thread woven through hundreds of generations, patient and unbroken.
This series is a tribute to the mothers who've gone before us, and to the legacy we hope to carry forward. Each print in this collection is a special edition — because like a mother herself, every one is one of a kind.
Special Edition Prints
These Special Edition prints will be available from April 19th until May 10th, 2026. Each premium paper print is hand-signed by Victoria, embossed with a seal, and numbered and dated.
The Creative Process
My mother and I travelled to the land of our heritage, the Netherlands, where I painted these three artworks. We stayed in a windmill, smelt all the flowers, biked through the dutch country side, ate so much cheese, and I got to meet family I had never met until now. But to be honest, the most memorable part of this trip was the time spent with my mom. She is my greatest inspiration and has shaped who I am to the smallest details. These works feel like small glimpses of how beautiful her legacy is and what beauty I hope to carry on.
